Orange Dream is exactly that: vivid orange/green/yellow colors in the spring that almost hurt the eyes with their intensity. This is a splendid plant. Orange Dream holds its color well during the spring usually for at least a month before morphing to green for the summer. It needs some direct sun to produce good color intensity.
After removing a thicket from a canyon behind our home in 2003, we started learning about Japanese maples, became obsessed by them, and now have about 400 different varieties of Japanese maples. Each year we find new and wonderful varieties, meet other maple collectors and growers, and our garden has become a sensation.
