My collection of Japanese maples. Click on the photo to enlarge. If you want to view a specific cultivar, enter its name in the search feature in the upper left corner.
Isn't this a pretty spring color? Coral Magic actually appears more intense in its coloration than seen in this photo, and it keeps its color pretty well in the springtime. I like this plant, though small trees like this one sometimes get lost in the riot of colors from nearby trees. I wish we'd gotten a bigger one.
Hi, I happened upon your blog because I was researching a maple cultivar and you had it. I am a grafter of rare cultivars and was amazed at what you have! I have about 200 cultivars also and had to laugh about your comment about Hippy fin mo, you got it for the same reason I did, I liked the name!!!
After removing a thicket from a canyon behind our home in 2003, we started learning about Japanese maples, became obsessed by them, and now have about 400 different varieties of Japanese maples. Each year we find new and wonderful varieties, meet other maple collectors and growers, and our garden has become a sensation.
