Toyama Nishiki is one of my favorites. I have two of them, each exhibiting a different style. One variegated towards gold while the other tends towards mauve. Both are beautiful. These are jewel box sorts of trees, with twisting branches, an overall tidy and neat tree-like appearance even when small, and a spectacular gold/cream color in the fall that makes them glow in the garden. This is a "must have" for the garden.
